A woman has revealed how she fell in love with the police officer who searched for her after she went missing from her home as a teenager.

Roro Nicole, 28,fled her childhood home after claims she grew up in an "abusive" household. Aged just 13 at the time, Roro left her home and hid overnight as her parents reported her missing.

"When I escaped, my parents freaked out and called the cops and told them I ran away," she said in a now viral TikTok post. "There were officers involved searching for me. The search went on and they couldn't find me that night because I hid. I knew the officers had no idea what was going on at home."

Roro was eventually found and placed into foster care, leaving the system at 18 years old. But little did she know that her future husband, Tyler, 38, was working as an officer that night searching for her.

"I never met him on scene, had no idea he was involved until 15 years later," she added.

But their paths crossed again several years later when she began working at the local sheriff's department.

"While I was working there I met this officer," she explained. "When he first made contact with me, he just kept staring at me.

"Towards the end of my time at the sheriff's department, that same officer walked up to me and starting carrying conversation.

"From there, we became friends and started hanging out, just talking on the regular. While talking, I came over to his house and I opened up to him about when I ran away from home."

That's when the pair realised their paths had crossed before when she was just 13 years old.

She said: "He stares at me and goes 'I was searching for you.' When I ran away, I didn't go too far but the apartment I stayed at was right across from his.

"He had no idea. He was so surprised. He didn't know what to think. The whole situation was shocking to both of us but I thought it was pretty caught."

Several months later, the pair started dating and quickly got engaged, with the couple also welcoming three children.

"I'm currently working at the same police department that Tyler was working at at the time," she said.

The videos have since gone viral, with some viewers concerned over their age gap. But Roro ignored the haters, insisting a "10-year age gap" is normal.
